The biggest problem with building a cool arcade at home these days is finding the machines in the first place. The next problem is having enough disposable income to buy them and to repair them. After that, the problem becomes simply a matter of space. Granted, you can build a Mame machine so you can play a thousand games in just one cabinet, but lets face it, that's just a PC in a bigger box. The attraction for me is that the original games are presented with their original electronics, side art, controls, and other features such as mirrors, backdrops, black lights, coin doors that still take quarters, just like back in the 80's when I was a young guy playing the games when they were new.
