WG 6100 Monitor Extension Cable Kit:
If you are capable of crimping Molex terminals onto your own wire, then you can easily make a very handy extension cable for your 6100 color vector monitor. A few people sell the complete cable assembly for about $40 but the total cost of parts (including good quality 18ga wire) for a two foot long cable is only about $11. When assembling your cable, note that you may omit position 9 terminals and wire. All other positions are wired 1 to 1. Don't forget that when you hold up both ends and look at them head on, they mirror each other. Make sure that each wire mates with itself if you plug the two ends together.
The tools and wire that I listed are quite expensive but I'm sure you could find cheaper generic wire and a crimp tools at your local hardware store. Personally, I bought the universal crimp tool and extraction tool listed below because they work on all similarly sized Molex connectors. With respect to the arcade hobby, I use them a lot so it was a good investment regardless. If you only need to make one 6100 harness, just by the required parts listed in the first table, borrow your buddy's crimper and invest an hour of your time and you'll save $25 over buying one complete. Just don't cross any wires!!!
