Krull Easter Egg

Matt Householder and Chris Krubel put a rather clever "easter egg" into the Krull code. Unfortunately, unless you owned the machine or were an operator, you didn't get to discover this 'trick' (although you can certainly do it in MAME). First, you must press and hold down the Select button while turning on the power (simply pull out on the coin-door interlock switch). 64 black and white heads of the 'Reverend' Bob Dobbs will float across the screen. What?!?

How did Bob Dobbs infiltrate Krull?
Become PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE -- overnight!

A quick note from Chris Krubel:
"...the reason that the collections fell off on the game, that Matt and I got in trouble for. We left in a way to get infinite points in the last screen! One could escape off of the screen in the Beast Fortress, hitting the Beast with your Glave, yet he couldn't get to you. The bug was found at a video games show by some kid, and the sales people attempted to get him off (possibly bribing him, no not really). Anyway, some video game magazine published how to do this, and from that point, collections completely fell off! Oh well, boys will be boys!"

Bonus! Now the secret to scoring Krull MACHO POINTS has been revealed.
On the boulder round, you will receive a greater score when you run close to a rolling boulder. Go near the top of the screen, find a boulder that rolls down at the same speed as can run and have it chase you down the screen. You can rack up several thousands points this way, but do not stay on the level too long or the game will release lots more boulders!
