My notes.
Getting to San Jose was a bit touch and go, but I finally arrived Saturday afternoon.
I had an opportunity to finally meet Tom Cloud, Aaron Giles, Joe Magiera and
a host of others. A better game selection and turnout from last year. Some new
games, well, a lot of new games from what was on hand last year. Dale
certainly went all out and was able to pull off a great show!
The above pictures of the Gridlee PCBs were done in preparation of some audio
sample gathering. Not really useful for most people, but they are of some interest,
so I included them here. I think you can also see some pictures of me playing
Warlords. Mike Snider stole $2 in change from me, as he can play Warlords -
don't let him fool you.
Scott Evans made a
pretty good effort getting his Aztarac joystick working, but even newly machined
brackets didn't help. Very poor joystick design as it broke after only a few
minutes of playing. Fun game though! Tim
Lindquist brought pretty much his whole collection(!) as did Jonathan Koolpe
and Bret Pehrson.
