ROMIDENT was written by Thierry Lescot who maintains the prom data base.
It does a checksum on one or more 'unknown' prom images and attempts to match them to a data base of 'known' prom images.
This is a VERY handy program for identifying 'clone' or unknown board sets, or to check that a prom set is 'good'
The latest version can be found
ROMIDENT BINARY (DOS) (Jun 2, 2000)
ROMIDENT BINARY (Mac)
ROMIDENT DATA BASE (Aug 20, 2001 revision 4289)

ROMCMP tries to tell how 'similar' on prom set is to another set
