Dr. Sparkz Lab.

I aquired this PCB in a trade with another collector. I traded for this board as part of a deal in which I also aquired an Arcade Classics board. This is a very cool puzzle game. Last year this game was at California Extreme 2000 in a generic Jamma cabinet. I hope to do a little better with it this year, as I hope to have a marquee for it soon. The info I have comes from the Project Leader.

Sparks came from at Atari Brainstorming session. Original Concept was Dave Akers about connecting pipes. I and my team took it from there and flushed out the design and theme. Most of the programming was Matt Setzer with art by Mark Pierce. Norm Avellar and I did support programming. In general, I think the concept was just a little too hard for a mass market. I still think it would make a great game, but Atari never decided to do anything with it. It's earning in an arcade test just weren't high enough to justify production.

As far as I know, there are only 2 or 3 in existence. You and I account for 2 of those.
