White-Label Space Shuttle

You've seen late-release Activision games with white text on a blue background, right? They're usually a bit rarer than the regular picture-label, so naturally there's a number of collectors who like to collect them--me for one.

In this case, however, the cart is black-on-white instead of white-on-blue. Same style and all, just different colors. Apparently these white-label variants were released primarily overseas and not in the US, so it's fairly exciting for us yankee blue-label enthusiasts to find a white-label Activision cart locally.

You would normally expect a cart from overseas to be PAL, but this one seems to be regular ol NTSC. I won't know for sure until I can dump the cart and compare the code to another. Mysterious, yes, but the enigmatic and unusual finds are where much of this hobby's excitement is.

Update

Ok. I saw another white-label Space Shuttle cart at a flea this weekend. The guy who owns it is one of those clueless idiots who prices carts at a flat $5 each, so I really didn't want to encourage him by purchasing it. I might go back for it. Of course, I might not.
