Print this out and save it for reference when working on the
Wells-Gardner 19K4600 series video arcade game monitors. Here is
information regarding the various versions of the video interface
boards they used.

P297 Accepts composite negative sync only. Originally installed in
19K4601 monitors. Video input connector (p205) pinout:

1 - Video green
2 - Video blue
3 - No connection
4 - Video red
5 - Ground
6 - Composite negative sync

P298 Accepts seperate positive sync only. Originally installed in
19K4603 and 19K4653 monitors. Video input connector (p205) pinout:

1 - Video red
2 - Video green 
3 - Video blue
4 - Ground
5 - Vertical positive sync
6 - Horizontal positive sync

P302 Accepts composite negative sync only. Originally installed in
19K4602 and 19K4604 monitors. Video input connector (p205) pinout:

1 - Video green
2 - Video blue
3 - No connection
4 - Video red
5 - Ground
6 - Composite negative sync

Note: schematics for the above boards are in W-G service manual #
69X0942-100 (dated 9-80).

P306 Accepts either positive or negative seperate or composite sync.
Originally installed in 19K4615 monitors. Video input connector (p205)
pinout:

1 - Video red
2 - Video green
3 - Video blue
4 - Ground
5 - Vertical positive sync
6 - Horizontal positive sync

Sync connector (p204) pinout:

1 - Ground
2 - Vertical negative sync
3 - Horizontal negative sync

P317 Accepts either positive or negative seperate or composite sync.
This board contains the highly desireable "Horizontal Centering" pot
on it. The "black level" (a.k.a. brightness) and "horiz center" pots
are mounted at the very edge of the board where they are very easy to
get at for adjustment. Originally installed in 19K4625, 19K4626, and
19K4675 monitors. Video input connector (p205) pinout:

1 - Video red
2 - Video green
3 - Video blue
4 - Ground
5 - Vertical positive sync
6 - Horizontal positive sync

Sync connector (p204) pinout:

1 - Ground
2 - Vertical negative sync
3 - Horizontal negative sync



Additional information:

P318 Accepts positive and negative seperate or composite sync.
Originally installed in 19K4677 monitors. The same as P317 mentioned
in my earlier post except these resistors in the color amplifier
circuit were changed to the following values for improved operation:

R211, R212, R213 are 200 ohm 1/4 watt (were 470 ohm 1/4 watt on P317)

R214, R215, R216 are 200 ohm 1/4 watt (were 180 ohm 1/4 watt on P317)

R221 is 470 ohm 1/2 watt (was 270 ohm 1/2 watt on P317)

R222 is 200 ohm 1/2 watt (was 270 ohm 1/2 watt on P317)
