NEWS

06th September 2001   Well the site is back up for the time being while i seek legal advice as to whether my site is breaking any copyright laws. I have had a monstrous amount of emails and Instant messages asking for me to put the graphics back on but I don't want to do anything illegal so this site may be down again for good if it doesn't all go according to plan. I have only reinstated this site on 'uncertified' legal advice i have received from lawyers but will only do 'What is right'.

Seems like I have been singled out over Every other site in the world. There are sites hundreds of times bigger than mine that deal with arcade graphics and renovation and they are quite happily going about their daily routine and have been for many years. Why pick on this site when all I'm doing is providing a graphics replacement service for people with a single game cabinet at home? One other thing.........these graphics are not scans of original artwork but recreations based on poor quality photos. I sell nothing and am only in this for the pleasure of helping others keep their cabinets looking new.

Thanks for all the well wishers, I really didn't think this site was going to be as big as it has been, the support has been overwhelming both in emails and in numerous newsgroups. I've been getting about 100 hits a day and it isn't even showing up on the search engines yet!! Takes up to 8 weeks I'm told. Thanks to all who have given me support and have posted good comments about this site. Its people like you that people like me do it all for!

For the time being though..............the battle continues....................................

In an attempt to preserve the classic video arcade game Pac-Man by Midway I created this site. As more and more cabinets get abandoned and left to rot because of faults etc.., any attempts to restore these cabinets are hampered by the fact that there simply aren't ANY decent graphics available on the web to restore the artwork to their former glory. I wanted to be able to renovate an old Pac-Man machine and build a dedicated MAME Pac-Man cabinet that looked 'authentic', so I realised I would have to remaster the graphics myself. As I  use graphic editors on a daily basis, I figured it wouldn't take too long to create a perfect set of cabinet graphics for all to download. Having said that, all I had were several very poor photographs that someone had sent me as a guide. Not much to go on but it was all I had! Well, after several weeks...............I have managed to compile this full compliment of cabinet graphics from both the Upright and Cocktail versions of the game.

All graphics are produced in very high resolutions to maintain the quality if enlarged/reduced. (The thumbnails may look blurred and do not do justice to the downloaded images). Most are around 72-80dpi but I would imagine that most people would actually want them reduced in size which is easy in most paint packages. I used Paint Shop Pro 7 obtainable from www.jasc.com   Other than that, it is possible to tell most printers the dimensions you want the image in the printer software at print time. Some will do it in centimetres, others in inches, some in both. Either way.........you can print the graphics whatever size you need with no loss of quality!  You may feel the need to change the brightness/shade of the yellow red or blue to more closely match the original. This can be done in most Photo editing packages including Adobe and Paint Shop Pro 7 very easily. Print off a test page on the paper you want to use for the finished sticker first to check the look and feel.

NB. Due to the lack of good scans for me to work from, some of the graphics on this site may not match the original exactly but will look identical to the untrained eye. For this reason, Artwork must be printed/painted in its entirety from this site as using this artwork for touch-ups may not match the dimensions of the original..

All files are in ZIP format to reduce download times and bandwidth. You will need a program like Winzip to unzip the files. Download it from here

To download, just click on an image!. Long live Pac-Man!

REMEMBER! These graphics are unique and do not exist ANYWHERE on the internet for download other than any mirror sites I may decide to instate. You saw them here first!

If any of the thumbnails fail to load right click over them and choose 'Show Picture' from the pop-up menu.
